Was on LinkedIn today, and to entertain myself and satisfy my curiosity I started searching for a variety of obscenities and deprecatory terms. (This is really just my behavior as a kid – when I’d look up ‘dirty words’ in the dictionary – moved online.) LinkedIn might bill itself as a social network for professionals, but it’s still not hard to find some choice quotes (warning: contains some adult language):
This was a wonderful gig doing audio post for cut-scenes/cinematics in video games until a complete jerk was hired as my boss.
After working for jerks like [name and location removed], I realized that there are bigger assholes in this world than me.
I was the president of a board of idiot savants. Except that they were missing the savant part.
Once when I asked one of my bosses about the mission and the strategy of our company, he looked at me and said: “Where did you learn about this bullshit? Never ask me about this crap…
I dealt with lots of corporate assholes who had no idea what the fuck they were doing.
It seems any social network can be used in ways you don’t expect, even the relatively staid ones.
