Stan makes a point about Facebook that I hadn’t considered before: due to access restrictions that limit who can see your profile, there are no ‘stars’ there. I wonder – does this detract or attract? It’s kind of nice not to be confronted with celebrity at every turn.
No stars

Hey Greg! Been a long time. Hope all is well with you. I agree with these thoughts on facebook, and even worse I think are the limitations on what networks you can join. For example, in order to join a company network, you need to provide proof (valid company e-mail) that you are a current employee of the company. This means you can only connect with the co-workers you still work with. Doesn’t this defeat the entire concept of using facebook as a means of networking? Who needs a way to communicate with current co-workers? It’s the former one’s where networking sites like facebook could provide value. Maybe I’m missing something, but it doesn’t make sense to me.
Anyways, keep up the good writing.
Take care,
Vince
