From Counterfeit Chic, luxury powerhouse LVMH is suing a past employer of mine, NexTag, for trademark and copyright infringement.
Not too many details beyond that. Speculating wildly – I am not a lawyer, and haven’t got any special insight here – perhaps one of NexTag’s merchants used LVMH-copyrighted images in their feed. Or perhaps one of NexTag’s merchants was selling knockoffs as the real thing. Or maybe NexTag did some marketing featuring some of LVMH’s brands? Could be one of many things – perhaps further information will emerge over time.

Nextag issued a 3:1 stock split in July 07 to all employees, watering down stock options for all incoming emplyees. Strike price for all new employees was $36.00 so Nextag did a 3:1 split in order to lower the strike price to $12.00
