I’m watching Noah Brier’s brandtags.net ramp up with a lot of interest – this is a neat project, and while I think Noah’s treating it as an experiment, I personally think that with some tweaks there’s a good niche business in it.
Noah himself should serve as an inspiration for the bizdev / sales / product manager / marketing figures I run into now and then around New York – people who want to do something interesting, but just don’t have the technical chops. You can hire somebody, you can convince someone to work with you (raises hand), or you can be like Noah and just get off your butt and teach yourself how to program enough to turn out some product. For whatever reason, that latter option seems to be the rarest.
